YESS 2026 – Young Epilepsy Symposium Switzerland

YESS 2026 is a great opportunity for networking with other young epilepsy researchers/clinicians at an early career stage and to present your work. The event takes place in collaboration with the University of Geneva. 

The goal of YESS 2026 is to inspire communication and networking between young researchers and clinicians interested in epilepsy. We will bring together young people from all disciplines for a full day of talks, followed by a dinner at a restaurant nearby or near the station. The event will contain a keynote lecture.

YESS invites young epilepsy researchers and clinicians to present their work, to get informal feedback on projects/methods from peers and is, above all, an excellent networking opportunity. At the dinner we will switch tables for each course, giving you the opportunity to interact with different participants.

This is our third meeting and the format will evolve over time with feedback and suggestions from the participants. YESS is organised by participants with support by the Swiss League Against Epilepsy.

Who can participate:

YESS 2026 is open to young people under 40 who are involved in epilepsy research or medical care in Switzerland. Participants aged 40+ are invited if they are PhD or Master students or in medical training.

For the first time, we welcome guests who will not present their research. They pay a smaller fee and will not participate in the YESS dinner.

Who will be presenting:

YESS is an informal platform for young researchers and clinicians to present their work. All attendees are encouraged to prepare a short talk presenting their current area of research. You could also show and comment on your (draft) poster for a congress, or present methods which might be useful to others. Depending on your input, there might be breakout sessions on different topics.

The detailed programme will follow. A Best Presentation Award will be granted to the presentation receiving the highest evaluation by a committee of senior experts in epilepsy.
