Call for appli­ca­tions: Research Recog­ni­tion Award

Research grant to increase knowl­edge about epilepsy, primarily intended as start-up funding:

The Swiss Epilepsy League Against Epilepsy supports scien­tific projects in the field of exper­i­mental or clinical epilepsy and epilep­tology totalling

CHF 25,000.-

annually. Prefer­ence is given to those who are carrying out studies on causes of and thera­pies for epilepsies.

The grant is awarded to scien­tists or clini­cians active in Switzer­land. The money can be used to cover salaries, running costs, or purchase of equipment.

Appli­ca­tions must be written in English. See guide­lines for details.

The Epilepsy League’s Research Commis­sion acts as jury. The criteria for awarding the grant are scien­tific excel­lence, the oppor­tu­nity to learn new methods and techniques, the estab­lish­ment or strength­ening of inter­na­tional collab­o­ra­tions, feasi­bility of the project and antic­i­pated benefit to patients. Several projects can be supported during the same year. The Epilepsy League specif­i­cally encour­ages appli­ca­tions for smaller projects and/or by junior researchers.
